Collected information and use

Luminary Labs may collect personal information about site visitors in order to conduct prize challenges and promote activities. You may be asked to provide personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address) when using the website or making an application to a prize challenge. To enter prize challenges you will also be required to submit non-personally identifiable information including, but not limited to, the name of your concept, description of your concept, images representing your concept, and answers to specific questions posed on the entry form.

We use personally identifiable information for the purposes of conducting and communicating about ongoing and future prize challenges. Additionally we may use your information to monitor site traffic, and to conduct research, analysis, and studies for our own purposes. Occasionally, Luminary Labs may also use your information to contact you about Luminary Labs activities. We will do our best to keep these communications to a minimum.

Individual prize challenges may require you to submit additional information and may include additional terms and conditions relating to privacy. If there is a conflict between this Privacy Policy and the terms posted or emailed for, or applicable to, a specific prize challenge, the latter terms shall control with respect to that prize challenge only.

PUBLIC: If you enter a prize challenge, select information from your submission may be shared publicly, including your name, concept name, and concept description.

LEGAL: As required by law, Luminary Labs may share your information when legally compelled to do so. This may include government entities or third parties in response to subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes. Luminary Labs may also disclose personally identifiable information in order to protect and defend our legal rights, or defend against legal claims that have been, or may be brought against us. Additionally we may share this information in order to protect the rights, property, or safety of you or another person. In this instance we may share your personally identifiable information with law enforcement or another entity we feel, in our sole judgment, may be able to protect you or the other person. Finally, should Luminary Labs reasonably feel that any activities are unlawful, we will report these activities to law enforcement.

SALES/MERGERS/ACQUISITIONS: Should Luminary Labs be sold, acquired or merged with another entity, all of its assets, including your personally identifiable information, will be transferred to the new entity and therefore be subject to a new Privacy Policy. We will make reasonable efforts to inform you of this event prior to transferring your information.
